EXCITING NEW DEVELOPMENT IN DISTRIBUTION
Grand River Brewing has selected Jump Courier to provide direct home deliveries in the Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge area for a 90 day test period starting in February 2009.
Jump Courier drivers will deliver cases (12 bottles) directly to the consumer at their home or work address between 6 and 8pm Monday to Friday and during the day on Saturdays. The drivers will call ahead to ensure that someone will be home as AGCO regulations require a signature by someone age 19 and older on the shipping documents. The delivery cost will be $9.95 plus taxes.
For the trial period, the consumer will need to call the brewery to place the order and provide credit card information. Once the test period is over, the website will be updated to handle on line orders. Consumers will be able to select the different beers that they want in the 12 pack. In some ways it is similar to the new OCB Discovery Pack so consumers can sample the various GRB beers.
Deliveries to Brantford and Paris will be handled by Grand River Brewing employees until a similar arrangement can be formalized.
