Jubilation Winter Warmer Now Available

As promised, the Jubilation Winter Warmer is now available at the retail store. As well, the Russian Gun Imperial Stout is available at the retail store and select LCBOs.

Grand River Beer Club Winter 2012

Starting in January 2012, Grand River Brewing will again host several comparative beer tastings discussing different styles of craft beers. (Be sure to book early as sessions were quickly sold out in previous years)

Tuesday January 10, 2012 will feature Winter Warmers
Tuesday February 14, 2012 will feature Stouts and Porters and chocolate for a SPECIAL VALENTINE
Tuesday March 13, 2012 will showcase India Pale Ales
Tuesday April 10, 2012 will present Bock Beers

The meetings will be co-hosted by Rob Creighton, Grand River’s brewer and Bob Hanenberg, Grand River’s president. Guest brewers will also be invited. Bob and Rob always have fun purchasing additional beers for the beer club too.

Price: $15 per session. No charge for designated drivers.

Time: 7:00 – 9:00 pm

Location: Brewery at 295 Ainslie Street S., Cambridge, Ontario.

Several local restaurants will be providing appetizers that compliment the beers.

We’re proud to announce that the Highballer Pumpkin Ale won a bronze medal at the 2011 Canadian Brewing Awards on September 9th.

Grand River Pumpkin Fest: Oct 15th

We’re having a party! The Grand River Pumpkin Fest will be held Sat Oct. 15th, from 8pm to 1am at the brewery. There will be a live band – “New North” and tickets are $15 per person. There’s a max of 50 tickets and they must be purchased in advance at the brewery. There will be food and beer for sale as well. Hope to see you there!

Mill Race Mild Wins Gold at US Open Beer Championships

Atlanta, GA(July 4, 2011) — Winners in the 2011 United States Open Beer Championships – the only brewery competition to include professional breweries and award-winning home brewers – were announced this week. More than 1200 beers in more than 50 different categories were submitted.

“This competition is significant because it accepts entries from breweries around the world and allows national winning homebrews to compete,” said Dow Scoggins, director of the U.S. Open Beer Championships. “This year, we had over 20 international breweries entered the competition. Breweries from Canada, Belgium, Germany, Mexico, and England medaled. Competing beers were judged in more than 50 different beer style categories. This year’s judges were from Australia, England, Canada and the United States.

2011 Ontario Craft Beer Week

Father’s Day – June 19th is the launch of the 2011 OCB week. The brewery will feature tours and samples by the glass for a loonie. Great way to try all our beers. Tours will run at 11:30, 1:30 and 2:30. If there is large group planning on attending please contact the brewery so we can arrange a private tour that day.
